The production aired on April 8, 1976, was directed by George Schaefer and stars Ed Flanders as President Harry S. Truman, Jose Ferrer as Josef Stalin, John Houseman as Winston Churchill, Barry Morse as Sec. of State James F. Byrnes, and Alexander Knox as Henry L. Stimson. The movie tells the story of how Stalin, Churchill, and Truman gathered from July 17 - August 2, 1945 in Potsdam, Germany to decide how to administer Germany, which had agreed to unconditional surrender nine weeks earlier on 8 May (Victory in Europe Day).
